Leifeng Pagoda
A pagoda on the southern hill, inseparable from sunset, lake views and the Legend of the White Snake.

Leifeng Pagoda was first built in 977 by the Wuyue ruler Qian Chu. Standing on the southern shore, it became one of the most recognisable vertical accents in the West Lake landscape.
The old structure collapsed in 1924 and the present pagoda was completed in 2002 above the historic remains. Its silhouette still anchors the celebrated view known as Leifeng Pagoda in Evening Glow.
