Six Harmonies Pagoda

Six Harmonies Pagoda stands at the foot of Yuelun Mountain above the Qiantang River. The original Northern Song structure was destroyed; the brick core was rebuilt in 1165 during the Southern Song dynasty.

Seen from the river, its layered roofs give the wooded hill a measured vertical rhythm. The pagoda marks the southern reach of the West Lake landscape system and a traditional viewpoint for the Qiantang tide.
